Colin Ridley

Colin Ridley was elected to the CCO Forum Committee in November 2008.

Colin is the Manager, Customer Services for Sydney Water. He is responsible for Sydney Water’s key processes of interaction with its customers. These include new connections, billing and payment processing, customer contact centre, channels management, and special services for trade customers. A recent additional role has been the administration and enforcement of water restrictions, which have applied since October 2003.
Colin has 15 years experience in the water industry, working in a number of senior roles in Sydney Water. Prior to joining Sydney Water, Colin worked for 16 years in the manufacturing sector for companies in Australia and the UK involved initially in manufacture of printing inks and chemicals and more recently in the manufacture and export of magnetic recording tape.

Sydney Water serves a population of 4.2 million consumers and operates 1.6 million customer accounts. A key focus for Colin in recent years has been implementation of a customer channel strategy aimed at making it easy to do business with Sydney Water whilst reducing operating cost
